DESERT MOUNTAIN RESIDENCE

Prvate Residence, United States

A minimalist home in a desert setting in thoughtful partnership with the land is the backdrop for this story. Clients desired a place for retirement years and living the next dream. One level living with a long elegant roofline and a dark exterior of stone and steel correspond to the land. Inside, every space is used. All cabinetry is built in. The main living area is in the center of the house beneath a crown of clerestory windows that connect the kitchen, dining room and great room in a light filled space that leads out to a pool, fire sculpture, and hot tub. Floor-to-ceiling windows extend the sense of space and release to the outdoors.
