MOON DREAM

A winding drive welcomes guests and leads to the single level, ‘Zen’ like design where every living space has a view of the lake. Windows between composed stacked limestone walls and horizontal planes open the views in the great room and kitchen to the hilltop labyrinth and down to the water. Small openings through the shoreline trees create peaceful views while keeping the wooded feel of the site. An avid painter, the client requested an art studio that doubles as a guest room and opens to an inspiring expanse of the lake. A warm modern meditation room with a wall of water in a stone niche and a wood ceiling creates a serene place of mindfulness. A glass enclosed walkway leads to an indoor pool pavilion that looks out over the lake and serves as a place for low impact exercise as well as an area for a game of pool volleyball with the family. Other unique features include an indoor/outdoor dog area for their three dogs as well as their guests’ pets. A “drive through” RV parking garage includes space for visitors’ vehicles and welcomes them to this beautiful lakeside retreat.
